This peaceful, comfortable home with new carpeted bedrooms is located in the quiet small coastal town of Nelson on the Glenelg River. It is the perfect size for couples or families & makes a great base for a Fishing Holiday or Weekend Away.
Explore the Limestone Coast Region. Get back to nature - Fishing, Walks & Wineries are popular. You will spot a different amazing delight that each season brings.
PROPERTY INFO
Nelson Holiday House is located in a quiet residential street with safe off street parking and plenty of room for the boat. This is a self contained home that you will have all to yourself.
The moment I arrive at the holiday house the first thing I love to do is go for a walk along the River, following the Great South West Walk track.
I feel at home immediately. The house is particularly attractive even in the winter months with the wood fire. Its set up as a home and you are more than welcome to use as your own.
A wonderful place to sit is on the back porch. Watch the local native bird life. Enjoy your Breakfast listening to the birds.
You may like to just lie on the couch and watch TV or read a book or a magazine. Play a board game with friends or pop on a DVD. Have I mentioned the surrounding attractions? Beach walks and not to mention some of the best wine across the border In Connawarra.
We have an array of tourist brochures or pop down to local Tourist Information Centre and have a chat (They also have free Wi-Fi) Please don't hesitate to ask for recommendations.
We are located 30 Minutes from the nearest Supermarket in Mt Gambier, the Kiosk and Service station in Nelson are your closest places for staples.
The Nelson Hotel is the perfect spot for a Pub meal.

Queen Bedroom. All linen provided. We encourage you to bring your own pillows for comfort. This Bedroom is located away from the other two Bedrooms and has a sliding door out to the front of the house. Sit in bed and listen to the Birds.

The Living Room has two comfortable Couches, and a rocking chair. Large TV, Wood Fired Conara as well as a Split System Cooling/Heating. DVD Collection, Games, Books and Magazines.

For Your Convenience
Kitchen with Dishwasher, Large Refrigerator/Freezer, Microwave, Coffee Pod Machine BYO Aldi Coffee Pods, Kettle, Toaster and pots and pans. Electric Stove. The kitchen well stocked with modern equipment and pantry items to help you cook up a storm. We generally have a well stocked pantry that we are happy to share and have you add to. Please kindly replace items if you use a lot of the item. Table and Chairs in Dining area.

Walk in Shower. Toilet and Basin. Washing Machine. Tastic with Heater to keep you warm in winter. Courtesy toiletries are provided to settle you in, then we ask for you to stock up if staying longer. BYO Beach Towels All ages and abilities are catered for with clean facilities and convenient walk in shower, toilet and basin.
Hairdryer. Towels and Linen are provided. Basic First Aid Kit.Washing Machine and Laundry basin also located in the Bathroom.

Sit out on the back patio and watch the birds feed. We have a Washing Line out the back and a Dryer under the patio. The garage will be locked and not available for use, however there are two double length driveways in which to park your vehicle/s and boats.

A Great Friendly Little Town
Nelson is your quintessential coastal town.
Pop down to see the friendly folk at the Nelson Kiosk for all your last minute goodies. Try one of their delicious sausage rolls, homemade mouth watering egg, bacon and hollandaise roll or an ice cream. The Kiosk stocks all sorts of other things too including Fishing needs, there is a post office and they have everyday staples.
Fancy a Pub meal or a cold drink? The Nelson Hotel is a community meeting point. It’s certainly within walking distance of our House.
Nelson abounds in wildlife. You may spot all sorts of critters not limited to Emu, Kangaroo, Echidna, Wallaby and lots of bird species. Not to mention Rabbits everywhere.
With a number of well kept boat ramps you can bring the boat or hire one from Nelson Boat Hire who also stock live bait and all your Fishing needs.

We love having kids stay. Please let us know in advance if you need a portacot just bring your own cot linen thanks.
We recommend taking precautions from insects from sunset to sunrise. This includes shutting screened doors and windows in the house. During the warmer months we have ceiling fans in each Bedroom and an Air-conditioner in the Lounge Room.
Just a few House Rules
1. For your personal safety and to protect your possessions please ensure all doors and windows are locked when leaving the house and valuables are not left in cars. 2. Please turn off lights and heating/cooling on departure. 3. No Smoking inside please. 4. Tents and Caravans/Campervans are NOT permitted.5. Fishing: Encouraged, however kindly clean fish at local boat ramps or outside and dispose of carcass wrapped in outside bin.
6. No parties. 7. Checkout time is 10.00am unless otherwise arranged.8. Remove all rubbish from bins in the house on departure. 9. Please respect our friendly neighbours and say hi ! If you seen anyone.
